About Italian Prune
Classic European prune plum, famous worldwide for reliability and heavy setting. Large purple freestone with yellow-green flesh. Sweet, firm flesh, great for drying, canning, and fresh eating. Tree self-fertile, very cold tolerant (-30°F). Widely adapted, resistant to bacterial spot. Needs 800-1000 chill hours. Ripens August. Long-lived, can take 4-6 years to mature. Zones 4-9.
