About Green Gage
Heirloom European plum dating back to 17th century France (Reine Claude). Small to medium, round, yellowish-green skin, amber flesh. Exceptionally sweet, honey-like flavour, considered finest flavoured of all European plums. Tender, juicy. Great for fresh eating, preserves, baking. Tree partially self-fertile, yields more with another European plum. 700 chill hours. Zones 5-9.
