About Black Rot

Black Rot (also associated with Black Canker) causes firm, shrivelled fruit rot and cankers on branches, often entering through wounds.

How to spot it

Sunken black cankers on branches. Fruit rot with concentric rings of pimples.

Prevention

Prune cankers. Avoid wounds. Remove mummified fruit.

Organic treatment

Apply copper sprays. Prune and burn infected wood.
