How to spot it
Hairy caterpillars with blue and red spots. Egg masses on bark and tools.
Prevention
Destroy egg masses. Use pheromone traps. Inspect nursery stock.
Organic treatment
Apply Bt or NPV. Encourage birds and parasitoids.
