About Apple Root Borer
Root borer grubs feed on roots, leading to yellowing, wilting and eventual death of trees.
How to spot it
Large white grubs in soil near roots. Sudden wilting and canopy decline.
Prevention
Deep ploughing to expose grubs. Remove weeds. Apply neem cake at planting.
Organic treatment
Drench collar region with chlorpyrifos. Apply Trichoderma and Pseudomonas bioformulations.
